What is Open Source Society?

Open Source Society is the title of a book being written to describe a way of governing worldly resources, so that people across the globe can live and thrive, knowing that their basic human needs will always be provided.

The book will contain the implementation plan for the world envisioned by Gene Roddenberry many years ago in a fictional future.

A lot has changed in the past three hundred years. People are no longer obsessed with the accumulation of things. We've eliminated hunger, want, the need for possessions. We've grown out of our infancy. (Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Star Trek: The Next Generation)

As of 2025, humankind has already achieved levels of food production and building construction that can provide for all 8,000,000,000 people alive. We have conquered the question of "can we". Open Source Society will answer the question of "will we".
